I'm thankful that ANet has put together a team of creative, talented people to deliver us an absolutely gorgeous and fun game.

Thanks for the positive thread!

I haven't had a lot of time to play yet, but so far:

I LOVELOVELOVELOVE that I can pick and choose armor styles with stats! I have been waiting for my warrior starter armor style with gladiator stats since I left pre-sear.

Birthday presents. I only have a few more days to wait for mine!

Quick leveling for new Factions characters.

And not necessarily for us "oldies" but for new players, I think the new tutorial system is great.

I wouldn't worry about all the complaining on the forums. For every forum-goer who makes a mountain out of a molehill, there are hundreds, if not thousands, of players enjoying the game that's there. The people who threaten to leave because of a change probably won't leave.

Like all games, there are changes I'd like to see in this one. But you know what? Guild Wars is a damn solid game, and it's held my attention longer than any PC game in the past. I feel lucky that I stumbled upon this game, and I look forward to anything ArenaNet offers in the future.

I have always felt editing the interface was one of the nicest things about Guild Wars.

First, just because people hate one thing doesn't mean they hate all of it. Second, these aren't molehills that the major complains are with, they're mountains. Third, 90% of the complainers would be quiet if Gaile would reply in one of the complaint threads. Anger festers in an atmosphere of unsurity. Provide us with "a final word" on the matter, whether we like it or not, and most of use will just go on with the game. The longer A.Net waits to respond, the worse this will get. This hopefully doesn't ecourage A.Net to just ignore the complaints and say "be quiet."

But I digress with something not in the spirit of the thread. On to things I like very much about the game.

-Graphical design.
-Difficulty.
-Loot/Rewards.
-Titles.
-The vast multitudes of henchmen available.
-The vast multitudes of enemies to fight.
-The nerfing of running and 55ers.
-The fixing of the book trick.
-The map designs used for 12v12.
-The multi-capture-the-flag style of play for 12v12.
-New Armors.
-New Weapons.
-Chatty Henchies.
-Better storyline.

Actually....the only two things I don't like are being discussed in the complaint threads...I like everything else.

Honestly, too many things I like about the new Factions, but listing a couple won't hurt:

Thanks for making it more challenging throughout. It really encourages good teamwork and communication. IMO that's what makes any game funner, with constant interaction. (Maybe it'll even be better with built in voice comm! =x)

and.. Thanks for the Alliances system, this really makes the game even more competitive! <5

Over the past year, I have had a lot of positive things to say about Anet and GW, and a few disappoints as well. In the end, I am glad Anet had the innovation to bring us a great Fantasy RPG. The fact that it is part of the MMO phenom and the first of such to be "free" is what introduced me to the MMO gaming world, and I am glad for it. There are many other things, already mentioned I am thankful for, so won't repeat them here, except to also add that it is commendable for Anet to put such a high priority on player input. That is what will ultimately keep this game going for a long time.

Now, if only there was a single player off-line version of each chapter. Being realistic, will any MMO be here 20 years from now? I don't think any of us can say at this point in time, but I would dearly love to still be playing this game, as much as I still love playing the original Wizardry 25 years after its debut. Can I get a cry for Guild Wars forever?!!!!

I have no problem calling out the good and great things of this game - be honest though - there are some things that really turn people off or change aspect that are the reasons they like GW - Anyway - Here is my Great stuff list:

• The art and look of the game. I like how the maps feel much more alive with roaming cows and friends and foes. The maps are also much more intricate with a lot to do and see.
• I love that armor function is not tied to form. You can get the look you want and the bonuses you want.
• Mini Pets
• I like the new classes and skills
• I like the number of quests – however the quality of some is suspect
• Planting seeds quest - what a great joke - a 'farming quest'
• Titles for the most part
• The fact that almost every time I go back to an older area after thinking all the quests are done I seem to find some new ones.
• Anti Running measures
• Soundtrack is great
• Runes map to color now
• Using the map for tactical advantages adds a good dimension to game play.

One step further - things that could be good - but probably need some refinement. IE - a good start:
Missions with more than one team
12 v. 12 battles

I'm thankful for a game like this free of paying monthly.
I'm thankful that anet is working hard on gw all the time to make it better and fix bugs.
And I'm thankful for a great community. (Best out of any game I've played, although, I admit, I haven't played too many)

This game owns.. As other have said. Being able to choose what your armour looks like is SO AWESOME. The Urban environments rock (though it's hard to see the action sometimes) The Countrysides are mind blowing! The new items/designs are wonderful. I like just about everything that was added..
Can't wait for my mini! This month!

Too many things to list – but I’m constantly amazed at the beauty, detail and imagination of the scenery (I regularly go back to “noobie island” just to check out the landscape and architecture).

Nice to discover those out-of-the-way bits of whimsy also – has anyone found the group of Crimson doing their musical instrument emotes circle? Too funny!

I tend not to worry about the minor game bugs – I remember how quickly these issues were addressed after Prophesies and I’m sure it’ll all work out fine for Factions.

Oh, and I just love my mini-Necrid Horsman!

Thanks Gaile for stopping in ^_^ And to you and the rest in here posting - it's no problem.

I did realize that I was so fed up and frustrated that it was eating me up. Having three kids I don't get to play 24/7 like some people - but being pregnant and on bedrest means I get to play more than I think I should -_- Which is why I was at these boards and throwing a bitch fit for various reasons. (I won't go into detail its in the other threads =P)

My husband made me see that it wasn't very healthy for me, the baby, or my marriage to be so upset and somehow... (that and you causing me to lose my post Gaile) just relaxed me... I don't want to yell or be eternally frustrated and I realized that I was going against my own rules for how to treat people.

I am sorry for that and I am greatful to the few of you that accepted my appologies.

I am greatful for those bloody guild NPCs that cost a fortune =P Still working on getting those for my guildies, gonna have to get some of them to chip in I think >_>

I truly am not always a biatch, heck ask Esprit =P
But if something truly ticks me off I am on about it till it burns out of my system.

Anyways Facial animation? Has my husbands monk always blinked or was that the new build last night?

Either way THANK YOU FOR IT!

AIYEEE Yeah my Ranger is blinking.... My necro isn't but my Lady Eviance is THANKS ANET!
again AIYEEEE I can see what color the drop is in the text? cooooooool!
